At an anatomy-in-clay workshop.

I first started Pilates, myself, in 1998 and over the years noticed how beneficial it was to my own posture and overall health.  In 2004 I set out to become a mat-based Pilates instructor (qualifying first as an aerobics instructor and then a Pilates instructor in 2005) and have since seen the benefits of Pilates in many clients time after time.

I believe that in order to produce long lasting effects an instructor should explain how each exercise works and why it is of importance.  Educating participants about their own body is the key to creating lasting changes and makes the difference between a good instructor and a great instructor!
I am passionate about keeping up to date with my own training, as well as passing information on to participants.  As well as regularly attending update courses and specialist workshops (eg pelvic floor workshops, muscle testing workshops) I am also a qualified osteopath (abc-osteopathy.co.uk).
