How it works
Once you’re booked onto one of our online Pilates classes, you’ll receive an email from us with your Zoom link and password. Simply click on this link to open Zoom a few minutes before your session is due to start.
You can access Zoom with your smartphone, tablet or computer. If you need any assistance with getting set up just get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
What to expect from our online Pilates classes
When you’ve logged into our online Pilates class, depending on the size of your screen, you’ll be able to see your instructor plus all the other participants. You can choose to just view your instructor if you’d prefer the picture to be bigger.
You’ll need to have your camera on so that we’re able to guide you and provide specific feedback.
Our online Pilates classes are essentially run exactly the same as our studio Pilates classes. We’ll still give you a very personal experience and talk you through all the exercises.
You’ll move mindfully through a range of movements that focus on alignment, breathing and core stability (A-B-C), as well as all the other main principles of Pilates.
As well as teaching you the exercises, our classes are all about using our expert knowledge to talk you through the science behind them and the medical benefits that each one brings.
Each five week block is different from the previous, teaching you new Pilates exercises and focusing on new areas that will help you to develop and improve.
Our private Pilates sessions are also available over Zoom, a great option if you’re looking for a more personalised experience.
What equipment will you need for an online Pilates class?
You’ll just need a Pilates mat and cushion or pillow, no other equipment is needed at one of our online Pilates classes.
We will occasionally use other basic equipment (resistance bands, small balls and foam rollers), but we’ll always suggest an alternative way of performing the exercise without the equipment, or with a household item that you can use instead.
