What to expect at our Pilates classes
We teach mat Pilates, the most popular and accessible type of Pilates as the only equipment you need is a mat. We sometimes like to use other small pieces of equipment to enhance the exercise, such as resistance bands, blocks, soft balls and foam rollers.
During one of our Pilates classes, you’ll move mindfully through a range of movements that focus on alignment, breathing and core stability (A-B-C), as well as all the other main principles of Pilates.
As well as teaching you the exercises, our classes are all about using our expert knowledge to talk you through the science behind them and the medical benefits that each one brings.
Each five week block is different from the previous, teaching you new Pilates exercises and focusing on new areas that will help you to develop and improve.
Time for you
We keep our Pilates classes intimate (a maximum of 11 participants) so that we can give you the attention that you deserve.
It allows us to tailor our exercises to you and gives us the time to explain how each Pilates exercise works and why it is needed. And we find that our groups form better friendships and closer bonds when there are fewer people.
